Lothian shoes came across my radar quite by accident, but I love the fact that they're a based in Brooklyn, NY duo. From the site:

"Brooklyn bred brother + sister duo, John and Elizabeth, decided to start LOTHIAN after a family dinner at their childhood brownstone-home in the winter of 2009.
John–an overall international man of mystery–had come back to New York armed with the idea for the line and looking for the creative yin to his business-minded yang. Elizabeth, having been an imaginative little freak since birth and a shoe fiend since she slipped on her first pair of heels (their mother’s black patent leather pumps) at 18 months old and demanded to wear them out to dinner, was a clear choice.
Inspired by her time spent raiding the closets of her grandmothers, mother and sisters, picking through thrift stores from Amsterdam to Montana, and flea markets from Rome to Budapest, Elizabeth’s designs bring that bit of Brooklyn street-funk to the vintage styles she’s drooled over the most."
Some of my favorite shoes from the F/W 12-13 collection:
